Irony Analysis

Dramatic Irony means when the audience knows something that the character doesn't. An example of Dramatical irony from the movie "Psycho" by Alfred Hitchcock would be The Shower Scene. This scene is when the character Marion couldn't hear the killer in the shower because the water was running but the audience knew he/she was there. This is dramatic irony because the audience knew that someone was creeping in on Marion but she seemed to enjoy her shower. This had the audience mad at Marion for not noticing that there was someone or at least something opening the bathroom door and then slowly going towards her.
Hitchcock used Diegetic sound so Marion could hear the shower water running but then Non-diegetic sound to create a sound that is very creepy and obvious that something is going to happen. The Audience it completely focused on the movie because they could see that there was someone there that Marion didn't.Then Marion got murdered. Hitchcock also used a two-shot to show Marion in front and a blurry person behind the curtain to create tense.

Alma

There was once a young girl named Alma. She was a small blonde girl with short hair, a pink sweater, and a blue hoodie. Alma wanted to go visit her grandma during this cold snowy day and wanted to get their fast so she took a shortcut down a lonely street in Paris and saw a huge wall of a whole bunch of names on it written with chalk so she wanted to join that wall and she added her name. As she was walking she also saw a doll store full of many beautiful dolls in it. When she looked through the window she couldn't see much because the window was fogged but she saw a doll that looked very familiar so she was curious to see what it was. When she cleared the window with her gloves the doll that she had thought she saw wasn't there anymore.
Alma tried to see if she could see the doll again but she didn't see her anymore. Remembering she wanted to go to her grandmas house she wanted to enter the store quickly and take a look at that doll that looked familiar to her. Alma tried and tried to open the door but no matter how hard she tried the door was locked. She had frustrated and just gave up but then the door slowly opened by itself. Not even hesitating to know how the door opened she went in. The store was a very dark, and creepy place. However alma didn't really care she went in for that doll that reminded her of basically her. When she entered the store a weird noise scared her. It was a little boy toy on a toy bicycle trying to escape before the door closed, but the door had closed right when he tried to escape.
Alma simply thought it was a wind-up toy that was just wrongly placed towards the door but who winded the doll up she didn't care she was focused on the doll she had seen since the beginning. The doll was no longer in the place it had been in when Alma saw it when she turned around to see the toy boy on the bicycle. The doll re-caught her eye but this time it was on the top shelf where all the dolls where at but she didn't really pay attention to all the details she just had one goal which was to get that doll. Alma had completely forgotten that she was going to go visit her grandma that day. She claimed everything until she got to that doll once she went up one step all of the dolls surrounding her had turned there eyes to see her but she didn't see them.
You could say that they were trying to help her but she was never worried about anything. Everything seemed good for her it looked like a very nice, old store. When she was aiming for the doll she took her glove off to get a better reach and when her hand was right in front of the doll that looked just like her all the other dolls tried to move to help stop her, but it was too late. Alma had touched the doll and then she got sucked into it. Her whole body was inside of  the doll. All she could do was move her plastic eyes to the right to see a new doll coming up where her doll was at. she saw another familiar looking doll and at that moment she realized that that store was a creepy, old store that sucks all of you into a doll.
It was the first day at Lincoln high, it was sophomore year. Arlene was one of the girls who everybody knew. Arlene was a chola her chola name was ( La Hazel Eyes) she had long black hair hazel eyes and was very lightskin but she was Mexican. Arlene was very popular but also very dumb. She made really bad decisions and her parents didn't really care about anything she did. Everything seemed like a normal year nobody really cared. The bell rang for P.E class with Ms.Kat . Every year she had everyone introduce themselves so everyone did but then it was the turn of a very quiet, chola looking, beautiful girl." Hi my name is Melina ". Those 5 words was all it took for everyone to try to talk to her and pay attention to her when she wasn't seeking for it. Arlene was so used to all the attention that she got jealous everyone gave it to Melina. Melina was also a chola ( La Shygirl) thanks to her friends. She is very smart, pretty, and loves her mom to death. It came to lunch time and there Arlene found out that Melina had a boyfriend. Her boyfriend was the man of Arlene's dreams he was (el ormiga ). Him and Arlene had dance together and knowing he had a girlfriend she still tried to get at him. However Ormiga loved Melina and respected their relationship. That was a lesson for Arlene because every guy she wanted she got and it made her mad because someone rejected her. At 4 weeks Of school Melina had token over the place that used to be Arlene's even the boys from Arlene's hood started to lay eyes on her. Then Melina and her boyfriend started to miss school a lot of it. Her boyfriend had came back a week before and said that Melina missed school because her mom died of cancer. Melina's mom was everything for her, her world. However she was an only daughter and her dad had abandoned them when she was small so she had no way of paying her mom's bills for medicine. Melina eventually had to come back because then they would kick her out. When she came back she found a lot of comfort in her boyfriend and that pissed of Arlene because she had fallen in love with Hormiga Meina went to the restroom she heard a group of girls coming in and she knew that it was Arlene. Once she left the bathroom Arlene caught her off guard and started beating her. Arlene won that fight since she had caught Melina off guard. Melina in her head talked her mom and told her that she couldn't handle anymore that she had given up. Then all the lights in the bathroom suddenly went off. Everyone started screaming "it's a lockdown" and everyone ran to the field. Then everybody started to find out about the fight and Arlene felt like the shit putting-down Melina. A week had passed and Melina was assigned to the same class as Arlene was. That class was Dance class. They started to practice for the dance that was in 2 weeks. In those days Arlene didn't quit flirting with Melina's boyfriend and calling-out Melina but she didn't pay attention to anything that she said. Those 2 weeks went by real fast then the day of the dance had came. Arlene took it as a whatever assignment but Melina didn't because she had promised her mom  that she would continue to be a smart girl and get good grades. That day Arlene had gotten diarrhea and had to use the restroom a lot. Before the dance started she had to go really bad but the only bathroom was on the other side of campus. She had to go real bad so she went running. Once using the restroom she heard the door close very quietly. Then  she came out and the lights when off and it was dark outside. She went running to the door but it was locked and then she heard one of the bathroom stalls slowly creek open and footsteps approaching her. her heart was pounding so hard you could hear it echo in the bathroom. Then all of a sudden she felt some pressure on her neck as if someone was choking her and someone was. In a very quiet, deep voice someone said "stop messing with my daughter, or you won't live peacefully anymore". Arlene remembered that Melina's mom had passed away and quickly knew it was her. Arlene left running home crying and thinking about what Melina's mom had said and if it was true or not. The next day she was searching very desperately for Melina to talk smack about the prank. Melina was not there and then later on in the day she saw Ormiga crying at lunch very deeply and wearing black. She didn't see Melina around so she approached him with the intention of knowing what was happening. He said she's gone and started to cry even more loudly. Arlene's face went pale thinking that it probably wasn't a prank. Then Ormiga said that she had hung herself and then showed Arlene a picture. In hat picture everyone saw a hunged girl but Arlene saw Meina's face smiling in an evil way. Then Arlene couldn't sleep that night going crazy, blaming herself for Melina's death and hearing odd noises like doors opening and closing and footsteps, and Melina's loud and goofy laugh. Arlene wasn't sure if it was in her head or if  it was real. The next day at school she was late for class and everyone was already in their classes and she heard someone following her and laughing but when she turned around nobody was there then she walked quicker and saw a shadow that didn't belong to her. Melina and her mom were haunting Arlene at school and Arlene was going crazy so she ran upstairs yelling "leave me alone" "go away" and then climbed the bars of the top floor saying "leave me alone or I will kill myself" the laughing sounds increased and then Arlene felt a harsh push on her back which dropped her of the top floor and killing her. After that nobody at school ever spoke about it again.

As a Lincoln high student I pledge to be the best student I can be and prove that all the bad stereotypes of my race and school wrong. Basically when I came to Lincoln everyone thought and continues to think that i'm not going to make it because this school has a really bad reputation. What nobody knows is that Lincoln has changed a lot throughout the years. It is now a new and remodeled school with more opportunities. People doubted this school and basically my race. Mexicans tend to populate in really bad jobs, ruining there future, and not having good grades. Many racial kids, teens, and adults have a really good future ahead of them but the problem is that society only focuses on the all the bad things. For me I really want a good future because I have many goals and promises that I have and want to do.  I want to be a criminal justice secretary  worker and help others work out there problems and have them come to me and let all there problems and emotions out. I will succeed by always doing my work, having good grade scores, and listening to my teachers.

I want to prove that Mexicans and any other races are capable of doing many things. Not just because a sterotype says something does not mean that's you. It all depends on the student. Sometimes they get lazy and when opportunities come they don't see them. Lincoln is known to only have professional athletes graduating with more chances but I want to come out of Lincoln as a person who is really good for what they want to study and knows what they want to have a future. I feel like I can prove society wrong and graduate from Lincoln with good grades a good GPA and a good career ahead of me. My life goal is to graduate as a Valedictorian no matter how many obstacles come towards my way.

In shorter words some mexicans do have the capacity to be something or someone in the future but it depends on them. Society does not make who you are. "My pledge to my family and school is that I will the best student I can be and prove wrong stereotypes."
